The single United States site was the Grand Rapids Public Museum, and the exhibition is now on a European tour to Munster, Germany, Liege, Belgium, and Bordeaux France from 2005-2006.

The exhibition showcased rare objects from major collections in Germany, England, Belgium, France, Spain, and the Netherlands displayed for the very first time in North America, as well as magnificent pieces drawn from the collections at Musée de la civilisation and other Québec institutions, such as the Musée d’art de Joliette, and Université Laval.
Organized by the Musee de la Civilisation, Quebec, Canada, the exhibition focused on six major themes -- space and time, the land and the peasants, the city and the merchants, the crusaders and the pilgrims, the church, and knowledge and communication. Each section showed the transformations that occurred between 1000 and 1500 and their impact on human history and civilization.

Works of Art from the Drambuie Collection, Edinburgh, Scotland
![]() ![]() |
Portraits, medals, miniatures, ceramics and, above all, engraved glasses -- over a hundred diverse works of art by some of the leading artists of 18th century Scotland, England, France, and Italy gave a fascinating insight into the uses of art: both as an elegant weapon of propaganda and as a means of expressing loyalty to an ancestral king in an age of turmoil and revolution.
Drawn from the unrivalled private collection of the makers of the famous Scottish liqueur, this is the first time the Drambuie Collection was toured outside the United Kingdom.
